Buying a Home- You Could Not Have Choosen a Better Time!

Why? Here it is.... There are tons of homes to choose from right now. From Bank Owned Homes, HUD homes, short sales and Private Sellers you can choose from nearly any homes in nearly any area! Interest Rates are still low also. With this mix, you are able to buy the home of your dreams at a fraction of what you used to. There are so many options available, all you need is to know where to start, I can help!

What is the first thing I need to do?

  • Figure out how much money you can spend. That's right. You need to get your financial picture drawn so that we can find the perfect house. When you are going through the pre-qualification process, it's like you are "shopping for your money" which sometimes can be just as important, if not MORE important, than shopping for your house. SO, get with a mortgage expert, tell them about your finances, and let them help you figure out what your financial goals are. You may only want to spend on a mortgage what you are currently spending in rent OR you may want to dowsize or upgrade. Whatever the case may be- this is where you need to begin.
  • This is a vital part of the home buying process for several reasons
  1. You may not know what you can actually afford
  2. You may have some credit issues you need to get cleared up
  3. You may have a better  credit score than you thought or a not so good score that needs a little attention
  4. Most Seller's will absolutely require proof of your financial pre-qualification before they will even consider any offer you put in on a home. So you could find your dream house, but if you wait to get pre-qualified, someone else that is may come along and put an offer before you can. We definately do not want this to happen.
  5. Your Realtor(R) needs to know what to look for. Since there are so many to choose from, narrowing the search will make this process seem more like fun and less like an overwhelming task. This is what we are here for!
